Karl Horst
Arguably, the United States maintains superiority in the air, land, sea, and space domains, which provides the US a dominating influence in diplomatic, military and economic affairs globally. But have we ceded superiority in information dominance in cyberspace domain, the critical domain that intersects and is foundational to every other domain? Does this put our national security at risk and threaten our ability to operate in all domains, to accomplish our missions, and to support our armed forces and allies around the world? Is the U.S. failing in defending and operating against our adversaries in cyberspace? As a Nation, do we act with unity of effort and common purpose in our cyber activities?
While our adversaries operate with impunity across cyberspace, are we are hindered by regulations, policies, and processes developed for an analog world, that have failed to keep pace with rapid changes in the digital domain? Does the U.S. restraint in responding provide further incentives for our adversaries to persist and escalate?
In this presentation, General Horst will discuss the current challenges, we as a Nation face, in regaining superiority in the cyber domain.
